ROLE NAME/DESIGNATION- INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY (IP) ATTORNEY

• We are seeking an experienced and dynamic In-House Intellectual Property (IP) Attorney to join our legal team at Nuziveedu Seeds Limited. The role involves brand protection, IP enforcement, infringement matters, counterfeit product tracing as well as handling commercial litigation, dispute resolution & contract drafting. The position requires close coordination with internal stakeholders, external counsel, and regulatory authorities to protect and enhance the companys IP assets and commercial interests.

• Bachelor’s in Law (LL.B) and Master’s in Law (LL.M), desirable.

• 4–5 years of relevant experience in Intellectual Property Laws, with exposure to commercial litigation and contracts.

IP Enforcement and Litigation-

• Lead or assist in IP litigation, draft pleadings, and strategize enforcement actions;
• Manage outside counsel and anti-counterfeiting actions (civil, criminal, raids, regulatory complaints);
• Represent the company before courts, tribunals, and regulatory authorities.

Commercial & General Litigation-

• Handle General Litigation including consumer and recovery cases.
• Draft responses to legal notices and advise stakeholders on pre-litigation and dispute resolution.
• Maintain litigation trackers, MIS reports, and legal budgets.

Contracts and Advisory

• Review, draft, and negotiate commercial agreements, licensing, technology transfer, collaboration, service provider, marketing, vendor, and confidentiality agreements.
• Advise business teams on legal/regulatory risks concerning IP usage, licensing, and third-party content.

Technical and Industry Expertise

• Strong knowledge of IP laws (patents, trademarks, plant varieties, copyrights, trade secrets).
• Familiarity with industry-specific IP issues (seeds, FMCG, pharma, biotech, manufacturing preferred).
• Awareness of emerging IP trends and technologies.

Interpersonal and Analytical Skills

• Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical abilities.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills for advising senior management.
• Ability to multitask under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
