Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for two highly motivated PhD students at the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology, located in Kolkata. The students will engage in rigorous research focused on studying the epigenetic regulation of innate immune-inflammatory signaling in leukemic hematopoiesis. Daily tasks will include designing and conducting experiments, analyzing data, preparing research reports, and collaborating with fellow researchers and scientists to advance the understanding of epigenetic mechanisms in leukemia. The role demands dedication to advancing scientific knowledge in a collaborative research environment.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with epigenetic research and techniques related to gene regulation and chromatin modifications
  • Strong background in immunology or hematopoiesis, particularly in the context of inflammatory signaling
  • Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as PCR, Western blotting, and flow cytometry
  • Analytical skills for data analysis and interpretation, including experience with bioinformatics tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for the preparation of scientific reports and presentations
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented research environment
  • Master’s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field, with a strong academic record
