Immediate Hiring_PostgreSQL Delivery Manager

Techila Global Services is hiring an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to manage and support mission-critical production databases for one of Indias leading fintech clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration, performance tuning, HA/DR, automation scripting, and database security across cloud (Azure/AWS) environments.

Location: Viman Nagar, Pune (5 Days working from office, alternate Saturday working from Home)

Key Responsibilities

• Manage production PostgreSQL databases ensuring maximum uptime and performance.
  
• Install, configure, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases (v12v16).
  
• Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and issue troubleshooting.
  
• Manage HA/DR setup, database migration, patching, and upgrades.
  
• Create and manage new environments on Azure and AWS.
  
• Implement and monitor database security and compliance controls.
  
• Automate routine DBA tasks using Shell or Python scripts.
  
• Track backups, incidents, and alerts while maintaining compliance and governance reports.
  
• Generate MIS reports and dashboards for management and audits.
  
• Collaborate with IT, Risk, and Business teams to ensure database stability and compliance.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 4 years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA.
  
• Expertise in performance tuning, backup & recovery, and HA/DR.
  
• Experience on Azure or AWS cloud environments.
  
• Proficiency in Linux (RedHat/CentOS/Debian) and Windows Server (2012–2019).
  
• Strong scripting skills (Shell/Python) for automation.
  
• Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana, Zabbix, pgAdmin, etc.
  
• Knowledge of database security, patch management, and compliance (RBI/ISO/NPCI preferred).
  
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  

Good to Have

• Experience managing 80+ PostgreSQL servers in production.
  
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (Ansible/Jenkins) for automation.
  
• Experience in audit documentation for regulated environments.
