Description
This is what you are responsible for : - Develop and Maintain Documentation : Create and update a wide range of technical materials, including user manuals, installation guides, API reference guides, release notes, and troubleshooting guides for our semiconductor and software products. - Gather Information : Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and subject matter experts to collect accurate and up-to-date details about product features, functionalities, and technical specifications. - Write Clear and Concise Content : Simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences, ensuring clarity and usability for both technical professionals and end-users. - Edit and Proofread : Review and refine technical content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to organizational style guides. - Utilize Authoring Tools : Leverage industry-standard tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar software to create and manage high-quality documentation. - Stay Updated : Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and documentation best practices to ensure content remains relevant and innovative. - Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams : Partner with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery of documentation. Necessary Qualifications : - Bachelor's degree in technical writing, computer science, engineering, or a related field. - At least 3 years of experience as a technical writer in the semiconductor or software industry. - Strong technical writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation. - Excellent understanding of technical concepts and the ability to simplify them for a diverse audience. - Proficiency in authoring tools like MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar platforms. - Strong attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. - Excellent organizational and time management skills. - Experience with XML-based authoring standards (e.g., DITA) is a plus. - Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) is beneficial. Preferred Qualifications : - Experience with technical illustration tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Visio). - Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., SharePoint, WordPress). - Knowledge of single-sourcing and content reuse strategies. - Understanding of industry standards (e.g., IEEE, ANSI, ISO).
