Job Description

As an Industrial Engineering Activity Lead within the framework of Project vehicle or Program vehicle and Capacity enhancement, you will be engaged from the Pre-Serial Phase of the program to the Start of Production (SOP). Your role will involve estimating assembly time required to perform assembly using the MOST tool and performing various industrial engineering activities such as job allocation and line balancing. **Key Responsibilities:** - Understand product/process design requirements - Assess the sequence of operations in process sheets - Conduct time and method studies using standard tools like MOST - Perform man-machine balancing studies to increase productivity - Optimize operation balance for manpower and production efficiency - Develop strategies for manpower rationalization and productivity improvement - Enhance material handling systems for lean layout - Identify bottlenecks and debottleneck processes - Develop time study estimates based on process sheets using PMTS tools - Create precedence and succession matrices against process sheets - Allocate process time to each station based on Takt/cycle time - Achieve optimal line balancing for single/multi-model scenarios and varying volume requirements - Utilize project management skills to deliver new products - Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project delivery and operational requirements are met - Estimate capacity for facility equipment to plan for different volume requirements **Qualifications:** - Engineering Graduate (Mechanical Engineering/Industrial Engineering/Production Engineering) **Essential Skills:** - Knowledge in Vehicle Assembly and General Assembly processes - Proficiency in any of the PMTS Techniques (e.g., MOST, MODAPTS, MTM2) - Basic understanding of AutoCAD, MS Office, and Lean Tools - Familiarity with Lean Tools and NVA reduction activities - Strong analytical skills **Desired Skills:** - Effective communication - Proactive approach - Managerial skills and ability to work independently with individuals at all levels - Conceptual thinking This position requires 8-12 years of experience in the Automotive Industry.
