Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Implementation:

Designing and delivering engaging Visual Arts lessons aligned with the IBDP framework.

Assessment and Feedback:

Evaluating student work through portfolios, exhibitions, and other assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.

Fostering Creativity and Critical Thinking:

Encouraging students to explore diverse artistic media, techniques, and concepts, while developing their analytical and critical thinking skills.

Art Appreciation:

Exposing students to a wide range of artistic traditions, styles, and movements to broaden their understanding and appreciation of art.

Integration of Technology:

Utilizing digital art tools and technologies to enhance the learning experience and prepare students for the digital age.

Collaboration and Interdisciplinary Learning:

Working with other teachers to integrate art into other subjects and promote interdisciplinary learning opportunities.

Preparing for Assessments:

Guiding students in the preparation of their curatorial rationale, artist statements, and other assessment components.

Exhibitions and Public Displays:

Organizing and curating student art exhibitions to showcase their work and promote engagement with the wider community.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Relevant teaching experience, ideally with the IBDP program.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of artistic skills and techniques.
• Familiarity with IB assessment criteria and global contexts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
• Passion for art education and student-centred learning.
