Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate, process-driven, and highly skilled Manager – Pastoral Care to lead our student wellbeing initiatives and act as the parent ambassador for our campus. This role is central to building a safe, happy, and nurturing environment where every student feels supported, valued, and empowered to thrive.

The Manager – Pastoral Care will be the pivotal point of contact for all forms of parent concerns — academic, administrative, related to special needs, or any other matter — ensuring they are addressed promptly, professionally, and with the goal of achieving zero complaints. This position demands a high level of diligence in following processes and the ability to maintain mature, accurate records of all communications and proceedings.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of the school’s pastoral care framework.

Oversee student wellbeing, emotional support, and personal development initiatives.

Serve as the primary liaison for parents, handling concerns across academic, administrative, special needs, and other areas.

Build strong, trust-based relationships with students, parents, and staff.

Collaborate with academic, administrative, and support teams to ensure consistent, high-quality care.

Maintain detailed, professional records of all parent communications, meetings, and outcomes.

Ensure strict adherence to processes for communication, follow-up, and resolution.

Organise wellbeing workshops, peer support programmes, and preventive initiatives.

Ensure that all safeguarding protocols are followed diligently.

Key Qualities We’re Looking For

Warm, approachable, and empathetic personality.

Strong communication, listening, and conflict-resolution skills.

Highly organised and diligent in following processes and documentation protocols.

Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in sensitive situations.

Cultural sensitivity and awareness, with the ability to engage with diverse families.

Proactive in identifying and addressing potential issues before they escalate.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

5+ years of experience in student wellbeing or pastoral care in a school environment (international school experience preferred).

Proven track record in relationship management and conflict resolution.

Demonstrated excellence in maintaining detailed and confidential records.

If you are passionate about student wellbeing, committed to process excellence, and driven to ensure every parent feels heard and supported, we invite you to apply and help us create a community where every learner thrives.
