HVAC Design Engineer - MEP

Role Overview: As a Senior Design Engineer in the MEP Department, you will be responsible for designing and drafting HVAC systems for various types of buildings such as hotels, hospitals, office buildings, IT fit-outs, apartments, industries, residential, and commercial buildings. Your role will involve working on a range of projects related to air conditioning, ventilation, cleanroom air conditioning, data centers cooling, and more. You will need to have a good understanding of system design standards such as NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE to ensure compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Collecting requirements and conducting heat load calculations based on architectural drawings using HAP/Excel-based tools. - Designing chiller plant rooms, plan, and section drawings, and preparing design basis reports. - Planning space including sizing, locating AHU rooms, and chiller plant rooms. - Designing new or replacement heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems specific to client needs and building specifications. - Creating centralized toilet exhaust systems and ventilation systems for various areas. - Designing duct sizing, chilled water piping, and refrigerant piping for DX and VRF systems. - Creating 2D drawings like schematic and detailed sections/elevations. - Preparing material take-off sheets, bill of quantities, technical specifications, and budgetary estimates. - Managing project execution from design stage to project completion at the site. - Monitoring site progress and reporting to management and clients as needed.
