HVAC Design Engineer - MEP

As a Senior Design Engineer in the MEP Department, you will be responsible for utilizing your educational qualification of B.E. Mechanical and 5-8 years of experience in HVAC Design and Drafting. Your expertise will be applied to various projects including hotels, hospitals, office buildings, IT fit-outs, apartments, industries, residential, and commercial buildings. Your knowledge will be put to use in areas such as Commercial Air conditioning systems, Operation theatres, Kitchen ventilation, Cleanroom air conditioning, Data centres cooling, and more. You should be well-versed in system design according to NBC, ASHRAE, and ISHRAE standards, with a focus on space planning and equipment sizing. Proficiency in Auto CAD and MS Office is mandatory, while experience with Revit MEP is an added advantage. Your design skills will encompass requirements collection, heat load calculation, plan and section drawings, and system design specific to client needs. Drawing skills will include creating 2D drawings and detailed sections/elevations as needed. Documentation tasks will involve preparing Material Takeoff Sheets, Bill of Quantities, technical specifications, and budgetary estimates. You will also play a key role in project execution by responding to RFIs, obtaining approvals, and monitoring site progress. As a candidate, you should exhibit strong leadership qualities, problem-solving skills, and be adaptable to business requirements. Effective written and verbal communication in English is essential as the job may involve travel to client offices and project sites. This full-time, permanent position is based in Chennai and requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP Drafting, MEP Design, and 4 years in HVAC Design Engineering. The role will involve day shifts and in-person work at the designated location.
