Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Onboarding

    • Draft and post job adverts; screen CVs; coordinate interviews; manage offer letters and onboarding paperwork.
    • Conduct reference/background checks and coordinate induction activities.
    • Maintain candidate pipelines and relationships with job portals, agencies, and campuses.
  • Payroll & Statutory Compliance

    • Coordinate monthly payroll inputs (attendance, leaves, OT, deductions) and liaise with payroll vendor or in-house payroll team.
    • Manage PF (Provident Fund), ESI (Employee State Insurance), Professional Tax, TDS registration/filings and ensure timely deposits and statutory returns.
    • Maintain accurate employee records for statutory audits.
  • Employee Relations & HR Administration

    • Handle employee queries, grievances, and routine disciplinary or performance-related processes.
    • Prepare and manage employment contracts, offer letters, confirmation letters, promotion/ transfer documentation, and exit formalities.
    • Track leaves, attendance, probation periods, and notice periods.
  • Policy, Reporting & HRIS

    • Support implementation and communication of HR policies (leave, travel, remote-work, anti-harassment, etc.).
    • Maintain and update HRIS/HR databases; generate regular HR reports and metrics.
    • Assist with internal audits and support external audits where required.
  • Learning & Performance Support

    • Coordinate training logistics and maintain training records.
    • Assist in performance appraisal cycles collection of feedback, documentation, and tracking key dates.
  • Compliance & Best Practices

    • Keep up to date with local labor law changes (Shops & Establishment Act, Factories Act as applicable, maternity/leave laws, etc.) and advise on implications.
    • Implement process improvements to reduce compliance risk and improve employee experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 25 years HR generalist experience in India (for mid-level). Junior: 02 years; Senior: 5+ years.
