Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Supports Senior Management with preparation of Company HSE Policy, Guidelines and metrics.
  • Monitors, measures and reports Company HSE compliance regularly.
  • Supports Senior Management in the definition of organization roles and responsibilities related to safety aspects.
  • Performs regular HSE Risk Assessments.
  • Supports Senior Management in HSE Management System.
  • Ensures, in accordance with corporate guidelines, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
  • Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and ensures their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
  • Provides motivation and familiarization with all Company personnel with respect to the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
  • Assists the Commercial, Engineering and Operations Departments in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work.
  • Ensures HSE compliance and safe work and work-related practices within the Company Head Office and regional offices.
  • Ensures HSE compliance and safe work and work-related practices across Company construction and operating sites, often overseeing Company site HSE representatives.
  • Ensures consistent application of HSE processes across Company construction and operating sites, with consideration for location-specific requirements.
  • Conducts safety audits, both internal and external.
  • Leads accident / incident / near-miss investigation.
  • Carries out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying Company and industry trends and formulating improvement plans.
  • Provides technical support to Senior Management on any safety-related subjects.
  • Proactively raises concerns related to HSE to Senior Management.
  • Formulates and carries out in-house safety training.
  • Ensures sub-contractor safety compliance where appropriate. Carries out safety audits on sub-contractors.
  • Liaises with Company Clients on safety-related issues.
  • Provides safety-related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
  • Participates in HAZOP meetings prior to procurement and installation activities.
  • Preparation of Health and Safety documentation for new tenders.
  • Provides Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start-up activities.
