Job Description

Role & responsibilities:

1. Application Development & Management

  • Lead the design, development, customization, and deployment of

    HRMS and Payroll applications

    to support business requirements.
  • Ensure applications are

    scalable, secure, and compliant

    with statutory and labor laws.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance and user experience.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for HRMS and Payroll processes, configurations, and integrations.

2. Implementation & Rollout

  • Lead

    45 full lifecycle implementations

    of HRMS and Payroll projects across manufacturing setups.
  • Work closely with business units to understand requirements and translate them into

    functional and technical specifications

    .
  • Oversee testing, UAT, deployment, and post-go-live support.
  • Ensure seamless integration with other enterprise systems such as ERP, Finance, and Time & Attendance systems.

3. Business Process Management

  • Drive

    standardization of HR and Payroll processes

    across multiple business units at the group level.
  • Collaborate with

    HR and Industrial Relations (IR) teams

    to manage daily operational support and resolve system-related issues.
  • Support HR teams in areas like recruitment, onboarding, attendance, payroll processing, performance management, and offboarding.
  • Ensure proper workflows for

    contract labor management

    , compliance, and reporting.

4. Stakeholder Coordination & Leadership

  • Act as the

    primary point of contact

    for all HRMS and Payroll application matters at the group level.
  • Partner with business HR, IR, and IT teams to align technology solutions with organizational goals.
  • Build and mentor a small team to support HRMS and Payroll operations and projects.
  • Present project updates, dashboards, and performance metrics to senior leadership.

5. Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure all systems and processes are compliant with statutory laws including

    PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, TDS, Bonus Act, and labor laws

    .
  • Prepare reports and support internal and external audits.
  • Maintain strict data privacy and security controls as per company policies and legal requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in

    Information Technology, Computer Science, HR, or related field

    .
  • MBA or Post-Graduate in HR/IT will be an added advantage.

Professional Experience

  • 10 12 years

    of experience in HRMS and Payroll systems, with a strong background in manufacturing industry setups.
  • Minimum

    4–5 end-to-end HRMS and Payroll implementation projects

    , including system rollout, migration, and integration.
  • Experience in managing both

    white-collar and blue-collar workforce processes

    .
  • Knowledge of

    textile industry HR processes

    will be preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Hands-on experience with HRMS/Payroll platforms such as

    SAP HCM, Oracle HCM, PeopleSoft, SuccessFactors, or similar customized HRMS

    .
  • Strong knowledge of

    statutory compliances and payroll calculations

    .
  • Understanding of

    system integrations

    with attendance, biometric devices, and ERP systems.
  • .net and SQL

    and database knowledge for reporting and troubleshooting.

Leadership & Project Management Skills

  • Proven ability to

    lead cross-functional teams

    and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong

    stakeholder management

  • Ability to train and mentor internal teams for application support and enhancements.
