Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor at the 3 Shoolin properties in Mangalore, including locations in Kavoor, Hampankatta, and Maravoor on Airport Road, your role is crucial in ensuring that guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas are maintained to high standards and meet guest satisfaction. Your responsibilities include: - Supervising and leading the housekeeping team, which consists of room attendants, housemen, and laundry staff. - Scheduling staff shifts and managing time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage. - Conducting regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and performance. - Evaluating staff performance, providing feedback, and coaching for improvement. - Performing regular inspections to ensure cleanliness and quality standards are met. - Resolving any issues or complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly. - Implementing and monitoring cleaning procedures and protocols for consistency and high quality. - Developing and managing cleaning schedules and tasks for daily operations. - Coordinating with other hotel departments to address guest needs and ensure smooth operations. - Overseeing room preparation for VIP guests, special events, or other high-priority situations. - Monitoring inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to prevent waste and maintain cost efficiency. - Maintaining accurate records of inventory usage and assisting with budget management. - Ensuring compliance with hotel health and safety policies and industry regulations. - Training staff on safe handling of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and proper lifting techniques. - Conducting safety inspections and addressing potential hazards or issues promptly. - Addressing guest requests, concerns, and complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally. - Maintaining accurate records related to housekeeping operations, including staff attendance and incident reports. - Compiling and submitting reports on departmental performance, cleanliness standards, and inventory usage to management. - Assisting in developing and updating housekeeping policies and procedures. Qualifications required for this role include a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in housekeeping within the hotel industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role. The educational qualifications needed are 12th Pass, Diploma, or a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality. Additionally, the job offers benefits such as health insurance, provident fund, and one-time meal during duty hours. The work schedule is a standard 9-hour day shift, and flexibility is required to be deployed in any of the 3 Shoolin properties based on business requirements. Please note that the job type is full-time and permanent, and the work location is in person.,
