Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Ensure overall upkeep and cleanliness of shop floor, warehouses, canteen, toilets, and common areas in line with 5S/lean practices.
Supervise daily housekeeping activities in production, utility, and office areas to maintain dust-free and spill-free conditions.
Coordinate removal and segregation of industrial waste, scrap, and recyclables as per EHS and statutory requirements.
Monitor cleaning of oil spills, chemical stains with proper procedures and PPE.
Check and maintain cleaning of high-risk areas like machine zones, walkways and assembly lines.
Conduct regular inspections and audits of housekeeping standards on the shop floor and support corrective and preventive actions.
Train housekeeping staff on safe handling of cleaning agents, hazardous waste.
Responsible to ensure smooth functioning of the facility in terms of electricity, generator, compressor, machinery etc.
Maintain inventory of industrial-grade cleaning tools (scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, mops, brushes) and consumables, and plan timely replenishment.
Report unsafe conditions, housekeeping-related near misses, and support implementation of 5S and safety improvement initiatives.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
Fluent in English, Kannada, Hindi
Experience in handling labour contractors and procurement of LABOUR ESSENTIAL.
Experience in manufacturing industry/ plant or factory management.
