Housekeeping Associate

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces. The role ensures that guests experience a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, contributing to the overall satisfaction and reputation of the hotel/resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and service guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas according to hotel standards.
• Replace linens, amenities, and supplies as per established guidelines.
• Report maintenance issues, damages, or lost & found items promptly to the supervisor.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and use cleaning equipment/chemicals safely.
• Ensure housekeeping trolleys and storage areas are organized and stocked.
• Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards in line with company policies.
• Support laundry operations when required.
• Provide courteous and prompt responses to guest requests.
• Assist in maintaining housekeeping records such as room status and cleaning checklists.
• Uphold the brand standards of the property at all times.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior housekeeping or hospitality experience desirable but not mandatory.
• Training in cleaning procedures and chemical safety will be an advantage.

Work Conditions

• Rotational shifts including weekends and holidays.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and physical work.
