Hostel Warden (Residential and Administrative Duties)

This section defines the primary residential and administrative responsibilities, which are round-the-clock due to the nature of the job.

A. Student Welfare and Discipline

• In Loco Parentis: Serve as the on-site guardian, responsible for the general welfare, safety, and emotional well-being of all residing students.
• Discipline: Establish and enforce hostel rules, maintaining a disciplined and respectful environment. Handle disciplinary issues promptly, fairly, and confidentially, reporting severe matters to the Principal.
• Health and Safety: Ensure student hygiene standards are met. Manage minor medical emergencies and coordinate transport to medical facilities when necessary. Conduct regular checks for fire safety and security.
• Mentorship: Act as a counselor and mentor, providing guidance on academic, personal, and social issues.

B. Administration and Operations

• Staff Supervision: Manage the daily duties, attendance, and conduct of hostel support staff (e.g., cooks, cleaning staff, security guards).
• Record Keeping: Maintain essential hostel records, including student attendance, late entries, leave requests, medical logbooks, and maintenance logs.
• Maintenance: Regularly inspect rooms, common areas, and facilities. Coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs and inventory of furniture and equipment.
• Parent/Guardian Liaison: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and any concerns related to their residential life.
• Activity Coordination: Organize and supervise recreational, cultural, and study activities within the hostel complex.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹8,119.22 - ₹23,979.62 per month
