About the Role:

- Localize stories to suit cultural and linguistic nuances while preserving narrative integrity
- Create emotionally compelling characters and storylines with consistent tone and voice
- Collaborate with creative leads and editors to ensure alignment on tone, pacing, and character development
- Review and revise content for quality, consistency, and audience appeal
- Utilize feedback, editorial guidance, and data insights to refine scripts and story arcs
- Meet weekly content and quality benchmarks with minimal supervision
- Leverage generative AI tools to support ideation, drafting, and content enhancement.
What you'll do:
- Handle end-to-end content creation from reading and understanding the source material to delivering final, localised episodes.
- Adapt and localise stories for Indian audiences while preserving the original narrative’s emotional core and appeal.
- Adapt characters and storylines from source material, keeping emotional arcs intact and staying true to the original narrative tone.
- Interpret source material (novels, scripts, outlines) and transform them into high-quality episodes tailored for audio.
- Take initiative to understand audience preferences by listening to top-performing shows and aligning your writing style accordingly.
- Regularly incorporate audience feedback and performance insights to evolve writing style and narrative direction.
- Work closely with editors, strategists, teams to maintain tone, pacing, and emotional depth across episodes.
- Ensure stories are binge-worthy, tightly structured, and engaging from the first few seconds of each episode.
- Consistently contribute fresh, creative ideas to improve and differentiate Pocket FM’s content slate.
- Use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) to streamline and optimize your creative process.
