1 Physical checking, monitoring and troubleshooting of all transport infrastructure and connectivity to remote cities over 1G multiple links to remote cities.
2 Coordination with all Service providers providing remote connectivity.
3 Installation, wiring and Configuration and of network and switching devices.
4 Handling emergency situations at Headend and remote sites.
5 Daily reporting of events, incidents, regulatory compliances as per laid down formats.
Identifying problems with STB operations and relating the same with root causes.
1 Understanding of popularly deployed compression technologies MPEG2, MPEG4, HEVC.
2 TCP/IP unicast / multicast routing, VLAN.
3 Various streaming protocols HLS, RTMP, Microsoft smooth streaming.
Digital services through Set Top Boxes.
Related Knowledge Required
1. Installation and configuration of Network cards in PC
2.PC Operations.
3.Operation of various maintenance equipment's - OTDR, dBmeter, Power meter, RF meters, software analysis tools.
Working knowledge of Linux OS. Documentation on Power Point, Visio etc.
0-3 years required in CATV and Broadband
