Job Description

Plant Manager

Role & responsibilities

Production & Operations Management

Handle day-to-day plant activities, ensuring smooth production flow.
Maintain production schedules, monitor output, and ensure timely delivery.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams for uninterrupted operations.
Monitor machine performance, ensure preventive maintenance, and reduce downtime.

HR & Workforce Management

Manage a workforce of ~300 employees with support from the HR team.
Oversee attendance, shift planning, discipline, and basic HR compliance.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and training for operators, supervisors, and staff.
Maintain statutory compliance (PF, Insurance, labour laws).

Process & Performance

Track daily KPIs production output, efficiency, quality rejects, and labour utilization.
Identify bottlenecks and implement improvement initiatives.
Ensure 5S, safety practices, and clean work environment on the production floor.

Coordination & Reporting

Work closely with senior management to share daily/weekly production reports.
Coordinate with procurement for material planning and inventory requirements.

Support audits, inspections, and documentation as required.

Preferred candidate profile

Gender: Male
Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering or similar.
5-10 years of experience
in manufacturing experience in plastics or luggage industry is a plus.
