Job Location : Andheri West, Mumbai.

Brief Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to handle the repair of both sold and unsold pieces of jewellery received from the Finished Goods Department. The Repairs Executive will ensure that all repairs are carried out efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with company standards. The ideal candidate should have 2-7 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing or repair.

Role & responsibilities

  1. Receive sold and unsold jewellery pieces from the Finished Goods Department for repair.
  2. Inspect and assess the condition of each piece to determine the necessary repairs.
  3. Perform repairs on jewellery items, including but not limited to cleaning, polishing, stone setting, resizing, and re-plating, using appropriate tools and techniques.
  4. Ensure that repairs are completed within the specified timeframe and meet the quality standards set by the company.
  5. Maintain accurate records of all repairs, including details of the work performed, materials used, and any additional charges.
  6. Communicate with the Customer Order and Repairs Manager regarding the status of stock repairs, providing regular updates on progress and completion.
  7. Coordinate with other departments, such as the Finished Goods Department and the Quality Assurance team, to resolve any issues or concerns related to repairs.
  8. Assist in the organization and management of repair inventory, ensuring that necessary tools and supplies are available for the repair process.
  9. Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while handling jewellery pieces and using repair equipment.
  10. Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding repairs in a timely and professional manner.

Preferred candidate profile

  1. 2-7 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing or repair.
  2. Strong knowledge of jewellery repair techniques, tools, and materials.
  3. Attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination for delicate repair work.
  4. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Good communication skills to effectively interact with team members and customers.
  6. Basic computer skills for maintaining repair records and communicating via email.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
