As the Head of Training & Placement at IMS Unison University, Dehradun, you will play a crucial role in shaping the career outcomes of our students. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement a comprehensive training and placement strategy that aligns with our university's vision of providing excellence in education and research across various disciplines. This will involve fostering strong industry relationships, managing the placement process, and designing career development programs to enhance our students" employability. You will be expected to strategize and achieve successful career outcomes for our graduating class through a robust campus recruitment process. Collaborating with the Deans of respective Schools, you will plan and execute training and placement activities that cater to the diverse needs of our students. Organizing placement drives both on-campus and off-campus, achieving annual recruitment targets, and engaging with corporates for strategic activities will be key aspects of your role. Your role will also involve assisting students in resume and cover letter creation, internship search, and job applications. Conducting mock interviews, providing guidance on common interview questions, and facilitating connections with companies hiring in the area will be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will work closely with key stakeholders such as Alumni, Faculty, Administration, Marketing, and Admissions teams to achieve career services and institutional objectives. To qualify for this position, you should have a Master's degree in Management from a reputed University and a minimum of 10 years of full-time experience in the Training & Placement department or a reputable corporate industry. Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with sound knowledge of industry requirements and placement skills, is essential. Strong organizational, critical thinking, and communication skills, as well as excellent interpersonal skills for networking with employers, are also required. Candidates with experience in the education industry will be preferred for this role.
