Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Tool Room Management:
Lead the overall operations of the tool room, including design, development, manufacturing, maintenance, and repair of precision tools, dies, moulds.
Shop Floor Leadership:
Oversee daily shop floor activities, ensuring efficient scheduling, prioritization, quality and productivity targets are met.
Team Development:
Mentor, train, and upskill the technical team to enhance capabilities in precision machining, tool making and problem solving.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure adherence to tight tolerances, quality standards and best practices in tooling processes.
Process Improvement:
Implement lean manufacturing practices, optimize workflows to improve operational efficiency.
Collaboration:
Work closely with design, production and quality departments to ensure tooling requirements are met.
Vendor management:
Manage relationships with tooling vendors and suppliers for materials and services.

Preferred candidate profile

Deep knowledge of Mould Flow,CAD/CAM systems and metrology
Knowledge of latest manufacturing practices in tooling
Proven ability to lead and develop high performance technical teams
Experience in setting up or scaling tooling facilities
Exposure to high precision industries like Automotive, Medical devices and Aerospace
