Head - Product Development (Technical)

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for the product development of Cables for Control, Instrumentation, Power, Rolling Stock, Marine, UL, and various speciality cables.
• Strong hold in Compound Development.
• Person who understands the cable designs, Compound Development.
• Coordinate with various agencies with respect to new product designs, product applications, customers requirements.
• Ensuring timely, high-quality, and cost-effective implementation of product developments in close collaboration with Sales and other internal departments and external partners.
• Expertise required in leading Laboratory and Cable Type testing

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification

• BE/ B.Tech in Electrical engineering.
• Computer literate and knowledge of word, excel, PowerPoint with thorough understanding in Cable Builder and at least basic understanding of SAP.

Professional Experience

• 15-20 Years of Experience in Technical of Cable Design and Manufacturing with minimum experience in Compound development for Cables.

Industry knowledge

• In depth Knowledge with self-experience in Design, Development of various type of Cables and Compound Development.
• In depth knowledge of IS, IEC, BS EN, VDE, UL, AS/NZS, IEEE, etc for Control & Instrumentation, Railway, Marine, Solar, Drive & Servo cables, Power Cables and various Speciality cables.
• Experience in carrying out complex technical projects handling day to technical queries, Approval Procedures and Cable & Compound testing and development.
• In depth knowledge of competition capabilities and new Product demand in the market, strong connect with customers technical team.
