Experience in precision tooling for mechanical and metallurgical manufacturing processes

Key Responsibilities:

1.

• Lead the design, development, and validation of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes (e.g., stamping, welding, rolling, cladding, compaction).

• Support NPD and Special Projects by providing tooling solutions for new products and processes.

• Develop strip layouts, compaction tooling, and extrusion dies to optimize manufacturability, process capability, and cost efficiency.

• Oversee daily tool room operations, including tool manufacturing, repair, and preventive maintenance.

• Ensure tool availability and quality to meet production schedules without disruption.

• Manage spare tool inventory, ensuring effective control and timely replenishment.

• Troubleshoot tooling issues in coordination with Production and Quality teams.

• Drive initiatives to extend tool life, reduce tool-related costs, and improve process robustness.

• Benchmark best practices in tool design and maintenance for cost savings and productivity gains.

• Monitor and improve Tool Room KPIs.

• Partner with Production, NPD, and CAPEX teams to support new line setups, process improvements, and equipment installation.

• Provide in-house technical consultancy for tooling improvements and problem resolution.

• Support technology transfer and standardization of tooling practices across sites.

• Support in-house special purpose machine manufacturing

• Collaborate with production and process engineering teams to validate tooling performance during trials for powder-metallurgy, brazing, and forming operations.

5.

• Lead, coach, and develop the Tool Room team to build technical depth and problem-solving capability.

• Foster teamwork, discipline, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
