As the Head of Sourcing & Planning for the Textile Division at CMR Family Mall in Hyderabad, Telangana, India, you will play a pivotal role in leading the planning and sourcing functions for a diverse range of textile products including sarees, ethnic wear, western wear, fabrics, and more. Your strategic mindset and results-oriented approach will be essential in developing and executing comprehensive sourcing strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensure efficient supply chain operations, and maximize profitability. Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Sourcing & Vendor Management: - Develop and implement sourcing strategies for all textile product categories, evaluating potential domestic suppliers. - Conduct due diligence on suppliers, assessing capabilities, quality standards, ethical practices, and financial stability. - Monitor vendor performance and address issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance. - Identify new sourcing opportunities to enhance product quality, reduce costs, and improve lead times. - Demand Planning & Forecasting: - Develop accurate demand forecasting models for all textile product lines, considering historical sales data, market trends, and seasonality. - Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to align sourcing plans with sales projections. - Monitor inventory levels, identifying potential stock outs or overstock situations and implementing proactive measures. - Implement inventory management policies to optimize stock efficiency and minimize carrying costs. - Supply Chain Optimization: - Oversee the entire supply chain process from raw material sourcing to finished goods delivery. - Implement strategies to streamline operations, reduce lead times, and improve efficiency. - Collaborate with logistics and warehousing teams for timely and cost-effective transportation and storage. - Quality Assurance & Compliance: - Establish stringent quality control standards for all textile products. - Ensure vendors adhere to quality specifications and conduct regular inspections. - Ensure compliance with industry regulations, ethical sourcing practices, and sustainability initiatives. - Cost Management & Budgeting: - Develop and manage the sourcing and procurement budget. - Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality. - Team Leadership & Development: - Identify training needs for team members to enhance their skills in the textile industry and supply chain management. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree is a plus. - Minimum of 10-12 years of experience in planning and sourcing, with a focus on the textile or apparel industry.
