Looking For:

Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience working on various aspects of Risk Management in banks/payment aggregators/acquirers/networks/risk solutioning companies, of which minimum 5 years should have been spent managing merchant risk at significant scale. Working in the same payment gateway domain will be given more preference. Working knowledge of merchant risk management and related activities - onboarding, business model check, KYC verification, transaction monitoring, merchant monitoring, risk scoring, chargebacks, disputes management, fraud alert, and others - is a must The incumbent should be widely networked in the industry, particularly in the Risk Management domain, and should have a sound understanding of how various agencies & key incumbents engage and work with each other Experience with fintech technology solutions/domain and working knowledge of leading risk management tools is a must Bias for action and ease with the fast pace of a technology enabled, technology first environment is a must The candidate should demonstrate high standards of confidentiality - given the nature of the role - and yet exercise strong discretion - given the fundamentally transparent and empowering culture of PayG. Should be a good team player.

Key Deliverables:

Develop, communicate and implement risk management policy to support the organizations strategy and vision in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Oversee all operational aspects of Risk Management both at the point of merchant onboarding as well as during merchant lifecycle Set up the right governance of systems and processes to ensure execution of the Risk Policy in letter and spirit through QC, audits and reviews Eliminate adverse risk events that slow down or interfere with business growth; form a rapid response approach, should such events happen, including response to law enforcement agencies for cases of misconduct by merchants Represent the organization and act as a liaison with all external stakeholders, including government and regulatory authorities, networks, partner banks and industry bodies Lead the procurement of right risk management tools/solutions and leverage those to the full extent Work closely with Product, Sales, Onboarding, Compliance and other teams to help create an optimal risk management framework and culture in the organization Be responsible for overall guidance, performance management and career development of the Risk Management team.
