Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

1. Quality Leadership & Strategy

• Lead and manage the entire Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) functions across all product lines (lubricants, greases, and packaging materials).
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the companys Quality Management System (QMS) aligned with ISO and NABL standards.
• Define quality objectives and ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company standards.
• Drive a strong quality and safety culture across all plants and departments.

2. Audit Management (NABL & ISO)

• Handle

  end-to-end NABL audits

  including documentation, system readiness, internal audits, CAPA implementation, and certification renewals.
• Manage

  ISO audit processes (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.)

  from planning to closure, ensuring zero non-conformities.
• Maintain all certifications and ensure strict adherence to audit standards and procedures.

3. Laboratory & Process Control

• Oversee operations of QC laboratories including raw materials, in-process, and finished product testing.
• Ensure calibration, maintenance, and validation of testing equipment as per NABL norms.
• Review and approve test reports, analytical data, and COAs (Certificates of Analysis).

4. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization

• Identify recurring quality issues, analyze root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Production, R&D, and Procurement to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
• Lead quality improvement projects and introduce advanced analytical tools where applicable.

5. Team Management & Training

• Lead, mentor, and upskill the QC/QA team to ensure strong technical competence and audit readiness.
• Conduct training programs on ISO/NABL standards, SOP compliance, and quality best practices.

6. Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure systematic documentation of all quality activities, test results, and audit records.
• Present monthly quality dashboards and audit findings to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, environmental, and customer-specific quality requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Experience:

• 10–15 years of progressive experience in

  Quality Control & Quality Assurance

  within the

  lubricant, chemical, or manufacturing industry

  , including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.

Skills:

• Proven expertise in

  ISO and NABL audit management

  (end-to-end).
• Strong analytical, documentation, and root cause analysis capabilities.
• Proficiency with laboratory instruments and quality management software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Certifications:

• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor Certification preferred.
• NABL internal auditor certification or hands-on NABL documentation experience is an advantage.

Salary Range:

Competitive and commensurate with experience (10.0 Lakhs – 18.0 Lakhs per annum).
