Job Details

This role is responsible for leading production for multiple shops for ISCM watches division in line with Company guidelines and policies with the objective of meeting the manufacturing goals of quality, delivery, cost, capacity optimization

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical ( Prerebly), 

Relevant Experience

18 20 years in any Engineering Industry (Preferable from Precision Manufacturing Industry)

Planning

  1. Participate in designing and developing the long-term manufacturing strategy and annual business improvement planning
  2. Evaluate, develop and implement operations policies / procedures
  3. Prepare for wage settlement discussions with union by doing detailed analysis on productivity expected along with effort required and engagement with consultants (Industrial / Management experts)
  4. Plan and recommend capex budget requirements and resource requirements (Man, Shop layout, equipment's, instruments, civil, engg. Services)
  5. Identify training needs & provid input to L&D / faculty
  6. Generate annual performance report and present it to the ISCM council for review and inputs
  7. Provide employee's performance data to costing team on Monthly basis (PPP)

Production & Delivery

  1. Review of production & inspection activities - daily, weekly, monthly
  2. Engage with vendors / suppliers for development of products and delivery
  3. Participate in internal / external surveys (Tell Me, ESAT, ICSS etc)
  4. Participate / motivate employees in Quality / safety months celebration
  5. Conduct communication meets with all operators on a regular basis to understand production concerns and opportunities for improvement

Manufacturing excellence

  1. Identify opportunities for cost improvement in production lines and drive implementation of the cost reduction initiatives
  2. Review performance on a Quarterly / mid-term / annual basis 
  3. Engage with ECM (Executive committee members from union) and with TEU members (Titan's Employees union)
  4. Identify projects for six sigma & initiate improvement plans
  5. Prepare A&I table, identify significant environmental activities and device appropriate control procedures

Quality

  1. Review of COPQ (Track COPQ against set target) and course correction
  2. Provide approvals for product's spec deviation at plant level
  3. Explore technology alliances for external know-how

  6. Review of six sigma projects at plant level

Safety

  1. Identify potential safety issues and devise correction action plans and drive quick implementation of the same
  2. Prioritize identified safety initiatives using ranking based priority matrix basis factors such as complexity to implement and impact of implementation
  3. Investigate safety deviation incidents and identify CAPA
  4. Ensure adherence to the safety norms
  5. Participate in MRM review meeting and highlight all production, quality, delivery, cost and safety concerns

  1. Identify training needs for self/team as per the functional competency model, provide inputs
  2. Identify manpower requirements and develop manpower & training plan for the department
  3. Monitor and review performance parameters of the team and provide feedback on frequent basis to the team members
  4. Provide subordinates with adequate exposure and growth opportunities to enable readiness for higher roles
  5. Ensure periodic follow-up with the recruitment team to fill the vacant positions with in stipulated time; in case of deviations escalate it to appropriate authority

Exposure on Digital and Industry 4.0 implementation experience.
