Head Operations

Role & responsibilities

• Take complete ownership of all operational functions including

  KYC, DP, RMS, Compliance, Trade Settlements, and Back-Office Operations

  .
• Oversee and ensure

  smooth functioning of daily trade operations

  across

  NSE, BSE, and CDSL

  platforms.
• Manage and monitor

  client fund settlements, securities transfers, margin requirements, and risk management systems (RMS)

  .
• Lead, train, and mentor a team of 810 operations professionals to achieve

  operational efficiency and accuracy

  .
• Ensure

  timely and accurate reporting to regulatory authorities

  such as

  SEBI, NSE, BSE, and CDSL

  .
• Oversee

  IPO, Mutual Fund, and other investment product processing

  , ensuring all backend operations are compliant and efficient.
• Collaborate with the

  Compliance Department

  to ensure adherence to all

  regulatory and internal audit requirements

  .
• Implement

  process improvements, automation tools, and control mechanisms

  to enhance efficiency and reduce errors.
• Conduct

  internal audits, reconciliations, and reviews

  to ensure data accuracy and process integrity.
• Maintain

  strong relationships with top clients

  , addressing escalations and ensuring high service standards.
• Work closely with

  vendors, exchanges, and depository participants

  for system updates, product changes, and operational enhancements.
• Conduct

  performance reviews and one-on-one coaching sessions

  to improve team productivity and service quality.
• Develop and enforce

  standard operating procedures (SOPs)

  for all critical operational areas.
• Support senior management with

  data analysis, operational reports, and strategy formulation

  .
• Stay updated with

  industry trends, regulatory updates, and technological developments

  relevant to broking operations.

Preferred candidate profile

• Male candidate

  with

  10+ years of experience

  in the

  stock broking / securities industry

  .
• Currently working as an

  Operations Head

  or

  Senior Operations Manager

  in a

  mid-sized or large broking firm

  .
• Minimum

  5 years of proven experience

  in leading and managing

  end-to-end broking operations

  including

  KYC, DP, RMS, Compliance, Settlements, and Trade Processing

  .
• Strong understanding of

  regulatory and compliance frameworks

  issued by

  SEBI, NSE, BSE, and CDSL

  .
• Hands-on experience in

  daily trade settlement, fund and securities reconciliation, and client margin management

  .
• Proven ability to

  lead, motivate, and develop a team

  of 810 members for achieving operational excellence.
• Strong

  leadership, analytical, and communication skills

  , with the ability to make independent operational decisions.
• Experience in implementing

  process automation and system improvements

  to enhance efficiency.
• Must possess valid

  NISM certifications – Series VI (Depository Operations), VII (Securities Operations & Risk Management), and VIII (Equity Derivatives)

  .
• Preference for candidates with

  short notice period (1 month or less)

  ; candidates with up to 3 months’ notice may be considered for the right fit.
• Based in or willing to relocate to

  Sadashiv Nagar, Bangalore
