About the Role

Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance

This role requires a strategic thinker with deep experience in technology delivery, client relationship management, and operational excellence. The position will involve leading application and infrastructure initiatives, transforming insurance business processes through technology, and driving innovation for strategic accounts across UK, Europe, and US markets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Leadership & Portfolio Management

• Define and execute technology strategy aligned to client and business goals.
  
• Manage a diverse delivery portfolio across strategic global accounts.
  
• Oversee budgets, delivery metrics, and resource allocation to ensure efficiency and scalability.
  

2. Capability Development

• Lead, mentor, and manage senior leaders across delivery sub-teams.
  
• Build collaborative, high-performing teams with clear career growth paths.
  
• Establish communities of practice for core skill areas (engineering, analysis, quality management).
  

3. Technical Excellence

• Govern the delivery of large-scale technology builds and platform solutions.
  
• Oversee development methodologies, release management, and quality processes.
  
• Ensure compliance with SDLC, security audits, and risk management practices.
  

4. Stakeholder Management

• Act as a senior advisor on technology strategy and delivery execution.
  
• Partner with client leadership to identify opportunities and address gaps.
  
• Support sales teams with solution proposals, demos, proofs of concept (POCs), and points of view (POVs).
  

5. Operational & Financial Management

• Own operational metrics related to client satisfaction, people management, and profitability.
  
• Define annual budgets and manage attrition levels.
  
• Oversee staffing, recruitment, and visa readiness for engagements.
  
• Run managed services across applications and infrastructure end-to-end.
  

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications

• Leadership:

  Minimum 25 years in IT services, with 5–7 years in a senior delivery leadership role.

• Domain Expertise:

  10+ years working with P&C insurance clients (specialty or large commercial lines preferred).

• Global Experience:

  At least 3 years of onsite work in the US within the last 15 years; knowledge of US/Canada immigration norms.

• Technology Delivery:

  Proven success in delivering large-scale application development and infrastructure programs.

• Cloud Knowledge:

  Proficiency in Azure or AWS.

• Methodologies:

  Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and practices.

• Client Engagement:

  Ability to manage C-suite level relationships and complex multi-country delivery models.

• Compliance & Governance:

  Hands-on experience with SDLC audits, security audits, and risk mitigation.

• Communication:

  Excellent spoken and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in P&C core platform implementation.
  
• Leadership of both small and large delivery teams.
  
• Familiarity with the Lloyd’s insurance market.
