Head of Technology and Innovation

As the Head of Technology and Innovation at our organization, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of technical experts to achieve our R&D objectives. Your role will involve setting the strategic direction for our Bengaluru Global Competence Center, aligning R&D efforts with global goals and market demands. You will drive technological innovation in material science to enhance product performance and cost-effectiveness. Building strong relationships with external partners such as universities and research institutions will be crucial to staying at the forefront of material science and plastics molding technologies. Creating a culture of creativity and continuous improvement within the team will be essential. You will oversee the setup and management of product design, lab facilities, simulation, and test equipment. Additionally, you will lead the establishment of a new center focused on Finance and IT roles in India, supporting talent identification and selection. Monitoring key performance indicators and ensuring compliance with regulations will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 15-20 years of experience in leading R&D or technology-focused teams, preferably in industries such as medical devices or plastics molding. Your expertise should encompass material science, plastics molding technologies, product design, and strategic leadership. A proven track record of delivering innovative solutions and driving advancements in material science is required. Strong knowledge of Healthcare and Consumer/Industrial sectors, along with exceptional leadership and communication skills, will be crucial for success. Your ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team, drive process improvements, and effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders will be key strengths in this role. A positive attitude, high energy levels, and willingness to travel up to 70% of the time are also essential attributes for the Head of Technology and Innovation position.,
