Head of Software Engineering

As the Head of Software Development at our company located in Powai, Mumbai, you will play a crucial role in defining the tech vision, strategy, and roadmap that align with our business goals. Your responsibilities will include leading the end-to-end software development lifecycle from planning to production, managing and mentoring high-performing teams comprising developers, QA professionals, and architects, as well as collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions. You will champion best practices in coding, architecture, security, and DevOps while ensuring compliance with industry standards such as PCI DSS and RBI guidelines. It will also be your responsibility to stay updated on the latest trends in cloud computing, microservices, and emerging fintech technologies. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 8-10 years of software development experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership position. A proven track record in building and scaling fintech or SaaS products is essential. You should possess expertise in programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, or Node.js, along with hands-on experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP, microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD. Strong communication skills, team leadership abilities, and stakeholder management capabilities are also crucial for this role. Additionally, familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks such as PCI DSS and RBI guidelines is preferred. Exposure to Open Banking, API management, or AI/ML integrations will be an added advantage for this position.
