Head of Software Engineering

As the Head of Software Engineering at our company, your primary role will be to lead the technology architecture and engineering efforts. You will play a crucial part in defining and implementing innovative technology solutions across our products and platforms. This position requires a combination of hands-on technical expertise and strategic leadership skills, making it ideal for individuals who have a strong background in building and scaling platforms, leading diverse teams, and working with a variety of modern technology stacks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Define the overall technology vision, architecture, and roadmap spanning cloud, data, and application layers. - Evaluate and introduce emerging technologies such as serverless, microservices, blockchain, VR, AI/ML to drive business value. - Lead cross-functional engineering teams in delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and delivery plans. - Supervise DevOps, cloud infrastructure, data operations, and application development practices. - Mentor and coach engineers to foster a culture of innovation, automation, and quality. - Ensure adherence to security standards and optimize costs in cloud environments. **Required Skills & Experience:** - Possess 10+ years of experience in senior engineering or architecture roles, with a minimum of 3 years in leading teams or platforms. - Hands-on experience with various technologies such as AWS/GCP, Terraform, serverless architectures, microservices, and data platforms. - Strong programming skills in at least two languages like Python, Go, NodeJS, Scala, or C#. - Proficient in designing and implementing CI/CD, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native applications. - Demonstrated ability to assess and integrate emerging technologies like VR, blockchain, and data analytics. - Proven track record of defining technology roadmaps and successfully delivering complex projects end-to-end. **Nice to Have:** - Prior experience in startups or consultancies, driving technology strategy for multiple clients. - Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC2, ISO27001. - Experience in developing or scaling data-intensive products using technologies like Databricks, Spark, or Redshift.,
