Head of SEO

You will be responsible for leading the SEO efforts at WhatJobs Ltd, a global job search platform with operations in over 70 countries and 22 languages. As the Head of SEO, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing SEO strategies to enhance the platform's visibility across various search engines and drive organic traffic growth. **Role Overview:** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish a robust global SEO framework - Recruit, manage, and mentor a dedicated SEO team in Bangalore - Shape and execute SEO strategies across the organization - Anticipate and address current and future SEO challenges - Oversee SEO integrity for all content initiatives - Lead the team responsible for enhancing WhatJobs" visibility across platforms **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and enhance global SEO architecture - Create scalable SEO frameworks - Lead international SEO strategies - Supervise SEO for editorial and content assets - Implement structured data markup and monitor performance - Drive proactive experimentation and testing - Recruit, train, and manage SEO support team - Present SEO strategy and priorities to global leadership **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 8 years of SEO experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior technical or strategic SEO role - Profound knowledge of international SEO practices - Experience overseeing content-based SEO strategies - Familiarity with job boards, classifieds, or marketplaces - Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams - Proficiency in building and presenting SEO performance dashboards - Awareness of AI technologies and their impact on search behavior **Preferred Tools:** - Screaming Frog, JetOctopus, Sitebulb, OnCrawl - Datadog or log file analyzers - Schema.org validators, testing APIs - GSC API, Looker Studio, BigQuery, GA4 **KPIs You'll Own:** - Crawl-to-index efficiency - Indexing speed and freshness - Coverage and validation rates of structured data - Traffic and user conversion metrics - Team velocity performance metrics - Visibility of structured content assets on global SERPs and AI engines This is a full-time, permanent position based in Bangalore, Karnataka.
