As a Safety Management System (SMS) Specialist in our company, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the Safety Management System in compliance with industry regulations and best practices. Your primary focus will be ensuring adherence to all aviation safety regulations and standards. You will conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and safety audits to maintain a high level of safety within our operations. Your role will involve close collaboration with regulatory bodies to ensure the timely reporting of safety-related information. Additionally, you will provide regular updates to the Aviation Operating Board on safety performance and initiatives, contributing to the overall safety culture of the organization. To excel in this position, you should be a retired pilot with extensive experience in aviation operations. You must possess a deep understanding of aviation safety regulations and safety management systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with excellent communication and leadership abilities.
