Role Overview: You will lead all Product engineering department activities related to Helmet, Body Armor, and Vehicle Protection, including development and testing. Your role involves providing superior technical knowledge throughout the Product Engineering life cycle. You will be responsible for managing and providing leadership to a team of Product Engineers. Additionally, you will collaborate with the Product Manager on the new product development plan and work on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for Product Engineering customer complaints. You will have full budgetary responsibility for the Product Engineering department and will drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes. Key Responsibilities: - Lead all activities within the Product engineering department for Helmet, Body Armor, and Vehicle Protection - Provide technical expertise throughout the Product Engineering life cycle - Manage and provide leadership to a team of Product Engineers - Collaborate with the Product Manager on the new product development plan - Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for Product Engineering customer complaints - Take full budgetary responsibility for the Product Engineering department - Implement continuous improvement initiatives by identifying deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices, and processes Qualifications Required: - Minimum qualification of M.Tech/ B. Tech in Material Science / Composites Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering, Polymer engineering or Equivalent - Prior experience in Ballistic equipment designing such as Safety Armor, Helmets, Shields etc. is desirable - Experience of handling a team of 30+ members - Experience in Business development and Customer demonstrations Company Details: The company is located in Kanpur (U.P.) and is seeking a candidate with 20 years of overall experience, including 8 years as a design lead. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of ballistic materials, energy absorption composites, protective armor end material fabrication, 2D drawings, physical and mechanical properties of different materials used in safety equipment, cost estimation, project feasibility study, and significant experience working in cross-functional teams to develop new products and technology in highly regulated environments.,
