Job Description

He/She is responsible for overall planning, management and delivery of the project as per defined timelines and within budget. He has overall responsibility for all ongoing projects and works in collaboration with various heads of departments to ensure project completion in line with client's requirements. He reports to Chief Executive -LMB and acts as interface for all project related affairs. His job includes closure of legacy projects and handling of new projects on board.
Project Planning and Schedule Management
  • Provide consultation in preparing project execution strategy (b) Ensure preparation and communication of project execution plan
  • Provide inputs in Master Schedule Preparation - Preparation of base plan basis standard plan, Circulation of base plan to key stakeholders, Incorporate inputs from meetings into the base plan
  • Review progress of the projects regularly and facilitate creation of schedule/ cost catch up plans in close association with Project Leads
  • Monitor and track performance metrics across projects
Cost Management
  • Provide consultation in Budget preparation b) Approve Budget c) Ensure release of budget in SAP
  • Keep project cost within Transfer price provided
Project Delivery
  • Project Execution
  • Ensure deliverables are met within planned timelines and cost to meet the overall project profitability
  • Risk Assessment on a monthly basis, identifying & implementing mitigation mechanisms
  • Evaluate Potential Claims along with the Contract Manager and formulate course of action
  • Manage the project changes (evaluating their feasibility, identifying the technical solution to implement and identifying the required resources) including the ones that can require a change order (to be discussed with the Client)
  • Responsible for invoicing, sales and margin of the projects
  • Coordination
  • Manage and organize the resources (people, material, tools and equipments) needed for the execution of the project
  • Ensure through his team on time dispatches from Hazira and on time receipt of pressure parts and critical components at site
  • Manage the relationship with all the parties involved in the project: external Client, subcontractors, local authorities, institutions, etc. and internal HSE&QM, Asset Management, Supply Chain, etc.
Contract Management
  • Initiate change orders with client
  • Interact with clients regularly and resolve issues/ concerns and seek inputs/ feedback on satisfaction
Strong exposure to large power plants * Good understanding of supercritical technology in boilers * Ability manage large scale projects - from contract to commissioning * Excellence client relationship management skills * Strong financial acumen * Good business development capability
