As a General Manager in the Insurance Business Services (Business Process Outsourcing Division) based in Chennai, India, your role will involve managing service delivery for both onshore and offshore operations. You will initially oversee operational resources in Chennai and Lucknow, focusing on improving Turnaround time, Active time, and Customer Satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include increasing offshore work, implementing RPA and other automation, collaborating with IT for customer innovation, and supporting new sales opportunities for refined service offerings. Key Responsibilities: - Manage offshore operational resources in Chennai and Lucknow - Improve Turnaround time, Active time, and Customer Satisfaction - Increase and drive more work offshore - Implement RPA and other automation - Work with IT to deliver customer innovation - Support new sales opportunities for refined service offerings Qualifications Required: - 15+ years of operational management experience - Proven track record in delivering end-to-end process improvements and transformation, including offshoring of complex processes - Experience with RPA and driving Lean change is advantageous - Familiarity with onshore/offshore operating structures, preferably managing teams in the UK or US - Background in complex processes, preferably within the insurance or financial services sector - Ability to work in a matrix/dotted line structure - Strong communication and influencing skills, especially with UK-based direct reports - Flexibility to travel at short notice - Credibility as an Approved Person to FCA and with clients - Experience managing up to 300 people In addition to the above, you will be reporting to the COO and will play a crucial role in driving operational excellence and innovation within the organization.
