Head of Operations Aluminium Die Casting

Role:

To lead and manage end-to-end operations of aluminum die casting plants, ensuring delivery of high-quality automotive components at optimum cost, safety, and productivity levels while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

• Lead and oversee production, maintenance, machining, quality, supply chain, and logistics functions.
  
• Ensure on-time delivery (OTD) of components to OEM customers.
  

2. Production & Efficiency

• Manage die casting, machining, and finishing processes to achieve targeted productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction.
  
• Monitor OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness), scrap/rejection rates, downtime, and cycle times; implement corrective actions.
  
• Drive automation, lean manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 practices.
  

3. Quality & Customer

• Ensure defect-free production meeting global OEM standards.
  
• Reduce customer rejections, warranty issues, and line rejections.
  

4. Cost Control

• Optimize operations costs including raw materials, energy, consumables, and manpower.
  
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, ensuring adherence to financial goals.
  

5. People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and operators.
  
• Build a performance-driven culture with focus on safety, quality, and accountability.
  
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across supply chain, quality, maintenance, and projects.
  

6. Continuous Improvement

• Drive lean, Six Sigma, TPM, Kaizen initiatives across the plant.
  
• Lead capex planning and implementation for new machinery, die casting presses, and automation.
  
• Support NPD (New Product Development) and project industrialization.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Mechanical / Production / Metallurgical Engineering.
  
• 1622 years of experience in
