Head of Finance with a Packaging Company

We have an opening for Head of Finance with a Packaging Company.

Location: Mangalore

We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Finance Leader with over 15 years of experience in managing end-to-end finance, accounting, and strategic planning functions across manufacturing, mining, automotive, electronics, and FMCG industries. The role requires strong leadership in financial planning, risk management, regulatory compliance, and banking operations, with proven expertise in optimizing cash flow, securing funding, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the Finance & Accounts department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and strategic alignment with business objectives.

Oversee financial planning, budgeting, costing, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Prepare and consolidate Balance Sheet, P&L, MIS reports, and financial statements in line with IND-AS / IFRS.

Manage banking relationships, including sanctioning CC limits, BG/LC limits, arranging term loans, ECB approvals, and FDI compliance.

Drive working capital management debtors, creditors, and inventory optimization.

Implement and monitor internal controls, accounting policies, and ERP systems (SAP S/4 HANA, Navision, Tally ERP).

Handle direct & indirect taxation (GST, Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, ROC filings, Cost Audit, FLA, FEMA, RBI compliance).

Lead statutory, internal, and cost audits while ensuring timely compliance.

Manage Forex hedging, treasury operations, and risk management strategies.

Support business expansion projects, feasibility studies, and project funding.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business strategy, performance tracking, and decision-making.

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong expertise in financial accounting, taxation, budgeting, treasury, and strategic planning.

Proven ability in banking, credit rating, CMA data preparation, and fund management.

Proficient in SAP S/4 HANA, MS Navision, and Tally ERP.

Excellent knowledge of IND-AS, IFRS, Company Law, FEMA, and RBI regulations.

Strong leadership, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Effective communicator with ability to influence senior management and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

MBA / CA 

15+ years of progressive finance & accounts leadership experience across multiple industries.
