Head Medical Excellence and Operation

As a Medical Field Medical Excellence Leader at Novartis, you will be responsible for driving medical excellence and operations to assess the quality of the execution of medical strategic plans, launch readiness for key medicines, and overview key medical projects and activities. You will build, manage, and lead the local Field Medical team while aligning with local Franchises and the Regional & Global Field Medical Excellence group. - Lead capability building across the medical organization. - Deploy global tools and systems, manage field medical metric reporting and tracking. - Build an inspired community of field medical nurturing the Novartis culture. - Ensure implementation of an effective medical organization aligned with global function. - Enable local coaching, guide local insights gathering and exchange, establish regional Network/s for communication. - Implement training curriculums, drive standardized KPIs, and explore digital trends for medical activities. - Lead, manage, and ensure the implementation of a local Field Medical organization across Franchises. - Ensure individual development plans and career paths for all medical associates. - Participate in CPO planning process using regional and local insights. - Accountable for performance management, evaluation process, and talent review for the local FME team. - Collaborate on MSL manager/MSL training and ensure compliance with medical affairs processes. - Education: Preferably MD or higher degree. - Proven competencies in influencing skills, clinical research, business and market knowledge. - Languages: English fluent spoken and written. - >5 years in a management and/or team leadership role in Medical Affairs and/or Development. - Strong leadership skills, innovative thinking, and thorough understanding of ethical guidelines. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
