Experience : 3 - 5 Years in similar Industry, or in a Ceramic Processing Industry Roles and Responsibilities of a Production in an Porcelain Insulator Manufacturing company Production Planning 1. Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demands and company goals. 2. Coordinate with sales, marketing, and logistics teams to ensure alignment. 3. Plan and schedule production activities, including material procurement, inventory management, and equipment maintenance. Production Operations 1. Oversee the production process, including material preparation, forming, firing, and finishing. 2. Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. 3. Manage production workflows, including workflow design, implementation, and optimization. Quality Control 1. Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure product quality and reliability. 2. Conduct regular quality audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement. 3. Collaborate with the quality team to develop and implement corrective actions. Material Management 1. Manage material procurement, inventory management, and supply chain logistics. 2. Develop and implement material management processes to ensure efficient use of materials. 3. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials. Equipment Maintenance 1. Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules to ensure optimal equipment performance. 2. Collaborate with the maintenance team to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. 3. Ensure compliance with equipment manufacturer instructions and industry standards. Safety and Environmental Compliance 1. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA and EPA standards. 2. Develop and implement safety and environmental policies, procedures, and training programs. 3. Conduct regular safety and environmental audits to identify areas for improvement. Team Management 1. Manage and supervise production team members, including training, coaching, and performance evaluations. 2. Foster a positive and inclusive work culture that promotes teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement. 3. Collaborate with HR to develop and implement employee development programs. Continuous Improvement 1. Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes, reduce waste, and improve product quality. 2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and implement changes. 3. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure that continuous improvement initiatives are effective and sustainable. Reporting and Analytics 1. Develop and maintain production reports, including production metrics, quality metrics, and safety metrics. 2. Analyze production data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and areas for cost reduction. 3. Provide regular production updates to senior management and stakeholders. Budgeting and Cost Management 1. Develop and manage the production budget, including labor, materials, and overhead costs. 2. Analyze production costs to identify areas for cost reduction and optimization. 3. Collaborate with finance to develop and implement cost-saving initiatives. The Production Manager may also be responsible for: - Ensuring compliance with industry standards, such as IEEE and IEC. - Collaborating with the research and development team to develop new products and improve existing ones. - Managing the production of custom-made insulators for specific customer requirements. - Developing and implementing lean manufacturing techniques to optimize production processes. - Collaborating with the quality team to develop and implement quality control processes.
