Head – Innovations & Start Up Ecosystem

Your mission: to transform breakthrough ideas into viable products, ventures, and social impact initiatives across disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:-

• Lead the

  Innovation & Entrepreneurship Cell (IIC/Start-up cell)

  aligned with

  MoE’s Innovation Cell (MIC)

  and

  Atal Innovation Mission (AIM)

  .
• Design and drive

  startup incubation and accelerator programs

  in emerging domains such as

  AI, HealthTech, AgriTech, FinTech, and Sustainability.

• Facilitate

  research commercialization, patenting, and spin-off creation

  in collaboration with industry partners.
• Build

  cross-disciplinary innovation labs

  and

  startup hubs

  that empower students and faculty to prototype, test, and scale their ideas.
• Forge

  strategic partnerships

  with

  government agencies, venture networks, investors, and corporates

  .
• Curate

  Brainware Innovation Summits and Startup Showcases

  to highlight entrepreneurial talent and attract external collaboration.

What You’ll Build:-

• Innovation Labs & Startup Hubs

  across multidisciplinary verticals.
• A

  vibrant incubation pipeline

  from idea-to-market for student and faculty founders.
• An

  IPR & Research Commercialisation Cell

  promoting patents and technology transfer.
• Strong linkages with

  funding agencies, accelerators, and innovation networks.

• A

  University-wide entrepreneurial culture

  that aligns with NEP-2020’s innovation agenda.

Qualifications and Skills:-

• Master’s degree or Ph.D.

  in

  Engineering, Entrepreneurship & Innovation Studies, Management, or related domains.

• Minimum

  10–15 years of experience

  , including

  5–7 years in leadership roles

  within innovation management, incubation, or startup ecosystems.
• Proven track record of

  securing grants/funding

  ,

  mentoring startups

  , or

  leading innovation programs.

• Strong

  industry, startup, and investor network

  with excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Deep understanding of

  NEP-2020, national innovation frameworks, and MoE/AIM policies.

• Passion for

  driving creativity, collaboration, and commercialisation

  in academic settings.
