The Logistics Expert Provide logistics expertise across manufacturing plants, ensuring optimized material movement, inventory control, and delivery schedules. Drive cost efficiency, compliance, and process standardization.

This role supports seamless logistics operations, contributing to cost control, inventory accuracy, and timely customer deliveries. Metrics include reduced freight costs and adherence to delivery KPIs.

1.

• Act as the central point of contact for logistics-related queries across manufacturing plants in Region 1 and Region 2.
• Provide strategic and operational support to plant logistics teams to resolve complex issues.
• Standardize logistics processes and implement best practices across all plants

• Ensure timely and accurate receipt of materials for all plants within the regions.
• Collaborate with suppliers to address quality, capacity, and delivery issues.
• Maintain a consistent and reliable flow of materials into production units through effective planning

• Oversee and guide regional inventory management practices to optimize stock levels and minimize costs.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices such as FIFO and KANBAN across plants.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance in inventory processes

• Monitor and support outbound logistics operations to ensure timely delivery of finished goods.
• Provide guidance on freight optimization and vehicle tracking to all plants.
• Coordinate live reporting and manage customer-facing logistics updates to avoid disruptions

• Identify and lead initiatives to improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs at a regional level.
• Monitor and manage premium freight expenses, ensuring alignment with budget targets

• Ensure all logistics operations across the regions comply with statutory and regulatory requirements, including GST and E-way bills.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors to ensure compliance and smooth audit processes

• Provide mentorship and training to plant logistics teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Promote cross-functional collaboration to address logistics challenges and improve service levels.
• Build capabilities within plant teams to manage logistics effectively

Preferred candidate profile

Qualification:

Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.

MBA or certification in Logistics/Supply Chain Management preferred

Minimum 12 years of experience in logistics and supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or automotive sector.

Proven expertise in managing multi-plant logistics operations and leading cross-regional initiatives

• Proficiency in SAP MM and logistics tracking tools. Knowledge of GST, ASN, CC, and E-way bill.
