Hardware Design Engineer

Job Requirements

1. Hardware Design Eng to work and to support developing products in PMC portfolio.

• Understanding the products and applications.
• Check for part Obsolescence in PLM/ Silicon Expert tool for products.
• Identify alternate parts if obsolete or LTB or material shortages or for any other case upon business team requests.
• Critical component selection & decision making in critical alternate part.
• Severity Check- Functionality, Safety, Certification.
• Check for design Impact.

• Validating the alternate part.
• Component procurement.
• Understanding the existing schematics & modifying the design as per requirement.
• Working with layout team, PCB & Gerber review.
• Planning the timelines & connecting with PCB Fab & assembly team.
• Understanding product standards & certifications, tests required for the product, Test plan, Power estimation, Power scheme.
• Alternate part validation through PCB testing,
• EMI EMC, Vibration test, Thermal Testing, execution, Test Report preparation & Reviews.
• Connecting with agency team and getting approvals for the product, certification completion, TRUN support at Factory & Release deliverables readiness.
• Interacting with various stake holders, Eng, CM specialists, OEM etc.
• Update AMPL through ECN with test results of alternate part in product PCBA.
• Re-check or review after loading to PLM Teamcenter.
• BOM scrubbing, Documentation.
• Verification of ECAD data in Teamcenter and creating detailed documentation for the missing data.
• Collecting data from different drivers and requests from stakeholders.
• Change Management for Engineering releases.
