Hardware Design Engineer

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing analogue and digital hardware circuits for industrial control products. Your role will involve utilizing your strong foundation in electronics, a problem-solving mindset, and experience in designing microcontroller-based systems. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing analogue/digital electronic circuits and schematics for industrial control applications. You will be developing hardware using platforms such as STM32, ESP32, and similar microcontrollers. Additionally, interfacing with sensors, displays, and I/O devices using communication protocols like I2C, SPI, and UART will be part of your tasks. You will also collaborate with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors to create PCB layouts, and test, debug, and validate prototypes for functional and environmental compliance. Supporting firmware engineers in hardware-software integration and system testing will also be expected from you. Furthermore, documenting hardware design specifications, bill of materials (BOMs), and revision histories to ensure the quality, reliability, and manufacturability of the hardware designs will be crucial. Staying updated with emerging technologies in embedded and IoT hardware is also a part of the role. Qualifications required for this position include a B.E. / B.Tech / M.Sc. / M.Tech degree in Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related field. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in embedded hardware design and development. Strong hands-on knowledge of circuit design, sensor interfaces, and microcontroller-based systems is necessary. Experience with STM32 / ESP32 platforms is mandatory. Skills required for this role include a strong understanding of circuit design and electronic components, proficiency in schematic and PCB design tools, and hands-on experience with STM32 / ESP32-based hardware. Working knowledge of communication protocols like I2C, SPI, UART, and interfacing displays (TFT/LCD), analogue/digital sensors, and I/O modules is essential. Familiarity with IoT hardware architecture and communication modules like Wi-Fi, BLE, RS-485, etc., and competence in using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators will also be beneficial.
