About The Opportunity

Primary title:

• Provide full-spectrum obstetric and gynaecology care across outpatient, inpatient, labour ward, and operating theatre settings.
• Manage antenatal care, conduct normal vaginal deliveries and perform Caesarean sections with adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
• Plan and perform elective and emergency gynaecological procedures, including diagnostic/operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopic interventions.
• Stabilise and manage obstetric emergencies and collaborate with neonatology for neonatal resuscitation and postnatal care.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, participate in multidisciplinary case reviews, and follow evidence-based guidelines for infection control and peri-operative care.
• Contribute to community outreach, family planning services, and mentoring/junior clinician training as part of departmental quality initiatives.
  

Skills & Qualifications

• MS (Obstetrics & Gynaecology) and/or DGO with valid medical registration
• Proven clinical competence in labour ward management and operative obstetrics
• Ability to perform Caesarean sections and manage surgical gynaecology cases
• Experience with diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy
• Proficiency in basic transvaginal and pelvic ultrasound interpretation
• Competence in managing high-risk pregnancies and obstetric emergencies
  

Preferred

• Advanced training or certification in minimal access gynaecologic surgery
• Certification in Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO) or equivalent emergency obstetric training
• Experience in family planning services and colposcopy
  

• Clinical autonomy with a supportive multidisciplinary team and opportunities for surgical case-mix expansion.
• Structured on-site facilities including labour ward, OT, and diagnostic imaging to deliver end-to-end maternal care.
• Focus on continuous learning — case reviews, training, and community health initiatives.
