Job Description: GSE Maintenance Supervisor Airport Maintenance Project Position: Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Supervisor Location: Muharraq, Kingdom of Bahrain Job Type: Full-time/Contract Salary: Competitive Based on Experience Reports to: GSE Engineer / Maintenance Manager Industry: Airport Maintenance / Water Treatment Job Summary: The GSE Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Ground Support Equipment (GSE) in an airport environment. The role requires hands-on supervision, ensuring equipment efficiency, adherence to safety standards, and compliance with airport regulations. The supervisor will manage a team of technicians, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure optimal performance of key systems such as Pre-Conditioned Air (PCA) units, air compressors, and electrical/mechanical GSE systems. Qualifications & Experience: ? Minimum 7 years of experience in the maintenance and operation of GSE systems. ? Hands-on experience in PCA units, air compressors, and other airport ground equipment. ? Experience in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Preferred Skills: ? Strong technical knowledge of GSE systems and troubleshooting techniques. ? Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MAXIMO (CMMS) for maintenance tracking. ? Excellent leadership and team management skills. ? Strong communication and reporting skills in English. ? Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment with minimal supervision. Certifications & Training ? Trained and qualified in GSE operation and maintenance. ? Certification in PCA and air compressor maintenance is preferred. ? Additional certifications in electrical, hydraulic, or CMMS software (MAXIMO) are a plus. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintenance & Operations Management ? Supervise and coordinate the preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance of GSE. ? Ensure proper operation of PCA units, air compressors, electrical panels, hydraulic systems, and other airport support equipment. ? Monitor equipment performance and address breakdowns or malfunctions promptly. ? Work closely with technicians to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. ? Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure timely ordering to minimize downtime. 2. Team Supervision & Training ? Lead and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring efficiency and adherence to work schedules. ? Assign tasks and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of maintenance activities. ? Train staff on equipment operation, troubleshooting, and safety protocols. ? Conduct regular team meetings to review performance, address concerns, and improve work efficiency. 3. Compliance & Safety ? Ensure all maintenance activities comply with airport regulations, safety protocols, and manufacturer guidelines. ? Conduct routine safety inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks. ? Maintain records of maintenance activities, safety reports, and compliance documentation. ? Ensure proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and adherence to workplace safety standards. 4. Reporting & Documentation ? Maintain detailed records of maintenance schedules, service logs, and spare parts inventory. ? Prepare reports on equipment performance, maintenance trends, and downtime analysis. ? Use MAXIMO or similar CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders and maintenance history. ? Provide updates to senior engineers and management on key maintenance activities and challenges. 5. Coordination & Communication ? Liaise with engineers, airport authorities, and vendors to ensure smooth maintenance operations. ? Coordinate with procurement teams for spare parts and equipment orders. ? Ensure smooth communication between maintenance teams, operations, and management. 6. Work Environment: ? Work will be conducted in airport hangars, ramps, and outdoor maintenance areas. ? Requires flexibility in working hours, including weekends and emergency call-outs ? Ability to lift and handle heavy equipment as needed. ? Requires adherence to airport safety and security regulations. 7. Safety & Compliance: ? Ensure compliance with international and local regulations. ? Follow environmental and safety protocols for handling CHEMICAL and hazardous materials. ? Conduct risk assessments and emergency response planning for GSE Plant failures
