Google Ads Lead

You will be joining Elephant in the Boardroom, a digital marketing agency that specializes in running large-scale, high-stakes campaigns for international clients, with a focus on Australia-based clients. In the role, you will take the lead in the Google Ads vertical, not just managing campaigns but also setting the strategic direction. Your responsibilities will include owning campaign performance, mentoring the team, and staying proactive to ensure client satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Plan, execute, and optimize high-budget Google Ads campaigns across various platforms such as Search, Display, Video, Performance Max, and Discovery for clients from diverse industries. - Utilize analytics and audience insights to develop strategic campaign plans that drive business results beyond just generating traffic. - Mentor and upskill the Ads team, conduct performance audits, and provide regular training sessions. - Serve as the Google Ads subject matter expert in client meetings, translating performance data into clear business impact to maintain client confidence. - Monitor campaign behavior closely to anticipate and address performance issues before they manifest in reports. - Stay updated on the latest ad formats, AI automation, audience segmentation techniques, and bidding strategies to incorporate innovative approaches into campaigns. - Collaborate with design, content, and analytics teams to ensure campaign cohesion and alignment with goals. Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Google Ads, preferably in a digital agency setting working with international clients. - Demonstrated success in managing large monthly budgets effectively. - Proficiency in conversion tracking, attribution models, GA4, and data-driven decision-making. - Strong expertise in bidding strategies including manual & automation, smart campaigns, and remarketing. - A proactive problem-solver with a keen eye for identifying and resolving issues promptly. - Excellent communication skills to manage internal teams and demanding clients confidently.
