Job Description

As a Global FCC Process Expert at Novartis, your role involves collaborating closely with GPOs and relevant function stakeholders to assess risks and provide advice on designing adequate internal controls over financial reporting. You are expected to be a strong business partner and advisor for GPO teams and functions, demonstrating leadership skills to drive financial compliance accountability and enhance process control excellence at all organizational levels. Your key responsibilities include: - Conducting and overseeing regular global-level E2E financial risk assessments in collaboration with GPOs and relevant functions - Contributing to updates to the NFCM framework and advising on mitigating actions for global control deficiencies - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate risk considerations and drive the development of a high-quality internal financial control framework - Overseeing continuous process/systems control improvement, automation, and standardization - Leading planning of process global talkthroughs with external auditors and driving change management activities surrounding process enhancements - Defining areas of priority and focus, leading process deep-dives to identify control gaps, and driving a preventative approach in risk and issue identification - Leveraging data analytics to enhance irregularity detection and ensure robust internal controls In terms of qualifications, you are required to have: - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field - Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or other relevant professional certifications preferred - Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, or related fields - Knowledge of S2P, T&E, and PRO processes - Strong understanding of SOX requirements Desirable requirements include: - Experience in a complex, multinational business setup, ideally in the Pharma and shared services industry - Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines - Project management skills, international experience, and the ability to work cross-functionally - Experience in standardization and harmonization of processes and controls - Good communication and interpersonal skills to motivate others Novartis is committed to creating an outstanding, inclusive work environment and diverse teams that represent the patients and communities served.
